What? That’s unheard of. Why give taxpayer’s large sums of money? They wouldn’t know what to do with it. They’d just go out and spend it on “personal” stuff and Not re-invest it in the national interest, right?

Except…that is what the initiative is all about, to spark the economy so that spending will continue. Except … if U.S. citizens are burdened with new debt, by bailing out rich people, they will not be in a position to spend. And why is it so important for US citizens to worry about not being able to ge tloans? Isn’t that just more indebtedness? Mmmmm.

Debt is an ugly, ugly, ugly cycle. Ain’t nuttin’ nice ’bout it. It is the manifestation of negative energy, aka evil, which is the definition of “causing or threatening distress or harm; a source of sorrow; calamity”.

Debt is a cosmic black hole created to maintain control of and eventually, swallow up it’s victims, in this case, the masses. Because once you’re in the “credit” hole, it was conceived that you will always be in the “credit” hole, good or bad. No matter how much money you have, you will always be seduced to need more — and that will invite credit.

And someone(s) established this euchred system as the foundation for our economic survival. It’s sort of like a curse, you know, “A Pox upon your house!”, or a plague, a serpent, a spider web, an addiction. Was there no other way?

What the world needs now is … well, Hope. All About Us Greeting Cards is dishing out a new kind of ‘feel good’ product. And, it’s not another “Happy Pill.”

Founder, Kimya Gordon created the start up to offer emotional support for all those “issues” invading society these days.

“In development, I encountered three things. First, problems never just disappear. We solve our own problems, which begins with a positive mindset,” said Gordon. “Second, positive reinforcement is critical in any healing process, whether it’s a broken heart, a crushed spirit, or a physical challenge. And third, written words matter. When people read something in print, it sticks. It becomes a ‘truth’ in our psyche. Greeting cards was a way to use positive reinforcement in a simple, literary format.”

Gordon, an Entrepreneur, and President of the company, discovered that greeting cards have been around as early as 1910, and remained a viable contender in the market, “yielding multi-million dollar revenues”.

“We all know the success story of Hallmark Cards, Hallmark Movies, those wonderful Hallmark Commercials. Hallmark is at the top of the marquee, with only a couple of other companies competing on that level,” remarked Gordon. “It appears to be a tough market, especially for a start up. But it was precisely the right kind of platform I was looking for. I wanted to create a product that was affordable, accessible, and more importantly, have a positive impact in our daily lives.”

Also, she noticed that the Internet and e-cards had the potential, down the road, to knock the paper card industry off the shelf, but wasn’t fazed by that possibility.

“On my website, I remind my customers that there is nothing like the feeling of giving and receiving a greeting card. Mostly, because they can be keepsakes, reminders of special moments in our lives. A card shows someone cared enough about us to take the time to pick a card, buy it, and send it. That means something,” Gordon adds. “E-cards are convenient. But ultimately, they end up being just more email, easy to miss in a spamming world, easy to discard, and just as easy to forget.”

Gordon revealed that her company took the emotional concept of greeting cards to the next level, extending the demand for self-help books to cards.

“If there is an issue out there, we will design a card for it,” comments Gordon. “I roamed the stores, surfed the Internet, and could not find anything to address today’s ’specific’ personal problems. We need daily reinforcement to deal with those problems. Most cards focus on a certain event, and then you put the card away in a shoebox. Our cards serve as a reminder to help us get through the day, cheer us up, or simply as a pat on the back. You can keep them out as long as needed, or frame it and hang it. That way, our cards become perpetual, self-help placards.”

The cards range from sensitive subject matters such as substance abuse, quitting smoking, weight loss, and gay rights; to popular activities, like online dating and soccer; including cards for our military troops. The company expanded it’s product selection to T-Shirts, notecards, postcards, posters, and speciality gifts.

Additionally, the website promotes a ‘one-stop shopping experience’ by partnering with a number of top retailer affiliates, including Barnes and Noble, Powell’s Books, Amazon.com, Armani Exchange, and other popular stores.

All About Us Greeting Cards’ website can be located at http://www.allaboutus-greetingcards.com. The online store is available at http://store.allaboutus-greetingcards.com/index.html. The company headquarters is based in Portland, Oregon.
Former NFL Player Signed to Write “Life Coaching” Greeting Cards

Portland, OR June 21, 2008
All About Us Greeting Cards has recruited former Wide Receiver, Charles “Jabari” McKee to write a new greeting card line. The selection entitled, “Word by Jabari” takes a modern day Socratic view on life.

The former University of Arizona All Star traded the football field for the lecture circuit as a life coach. According to McKee, that is where he draws most of his material for the cards.

“Athletes learn early on that positive affirmations work,” stated McKee. “They play a key role, because your state of mind reflects in your performance. A good coach reinforces his team with a ‘can do’ approach. I transferred my athletic training into a way of life and share that information in my writing and lectures.”

McKee, drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round, had been a top pick by Roger Staubach, shortly after the legendary QB’s 1972 Super Bowl VI win.

A representative of the company reported that the new greeting card line is all about motivation.

“We want to inspire our customers whatever their personal issues or life goals may be. Jabari writes simple, yet profound prose. His words are thought provoking, yet easy to remember, like all great quotes,” said the representative. “Great quotes are timeless, whether they come from a line in a movie, or from famous people. Those inspirational one-liners become a part of our pop culture vernacular.”

The company rep added, “We developed “Word by Jabari” to introduce the world to a fresh, new philosophy. Specifically, because athletes provide a good resource for self-empowerment. We can all draw from Jabari’s background and training. It was an exciting coup for us to bring this kind of inspiration to our customers.”

“An athletes’ career is relatively short compared to most careers. Generally, you’re left wondering, ‘what’s next?’ My sister worked in Hollywood at the time my football career ended. It was a tempting option,” McKee revealed. “I chose to stay in Tucson and contribute to my community.”

He adds, “I wanted to see my three grandson’s grow up where I grew up. My decision taught me that there is life after football, and it doesn’t have to be more bright lights.”

Jabari, as he prefers to be called, is an Entrepreneur, and Founder of Real Hero’s Sports Management Group, headquartered in the Tucson Metro area.

The mission of the management group is to develop professional athletic role models “whom our youth look up to and revere” by exposing them to positive creative words. Hence, “Words make people!” as displayed on one of his cards.

“Giving back feels good, and having faith and patience. It all works out. That’s the lesson I share in my lectures and my writing. But I haven’t ruled out Hollywood. That’s a big ’stadium’, and I’ve got lot to say,” McKee stated, with a wink.

“Word by Jabari” greeting cards are featured in the online store http://store.allaboutus-greetingcards.com/index.html.
