The China Fuss

Darfur
What’s all the fuss over China and their mucking around in Africa? They are only doing what the big thieves have always done…digging, stealing, and killing in the Motherland.

They were allowed to join in…It’s a club!

The Christian Bible states, “Satan comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy.”

However, we support the Olympians and their hardwork.

Nuff said.

Wimbledon Rocked!

Venus and Nadal Venus and Serena Nadal Wins Rog and Rafa

In case no one noticed…I got my wish. A Williams Sisters Final. It was kind of retro justice, too. Venice, the elder sister, takes a turn as the victor over baby sis. Also, two Wimbledon titles in a row. That’s making much deserved history.

And remember I wished for a little friendly competition for Roger’s dominance? Nadal pulled a big rabbit out of a hat and gave Roger a go. Two in a Row…matching my Borg’s record, with French and Wimbledon titles in the same season. Sorry Roger. But you two made tennis magical again. A worthwhile competition, exciting, riveting, five set smackdown!

The black London night shimmering with camera’s flashing…the fairytale handsome Spaniard kissing, or rather gnashing, his trophy. These are the good guys of tennis. No media scandals — yet — just serious, professional, class act gentlemen, with longtime girlfriends, who are not models or actresses, (or trophy blonds on arm). I likey.

I liked the whole thing. Somebody heard me and gave me what I wished for. A magical championship tournament.

I’m even more addicted than ever.

It’s Wimbledon Time again! And I cannot be more excited. For me, it’s the World Series, NBA Championship, Superbowl, Stanley Cup, and whatever the Soccer Finals are called, all wrapped up in one.

Although, I have to admit, I miss the heck out of Pete and Andre — so much! Their retirement came much too soon for me and the tennis world. I can’t imagine anyone ever being as exciting as those two guys.

However, I said the same thing when Becker and Edberg left, and before them, Bjorn and Mac and Jimmy. And before them Arthur and Vitas and Martina and Chrissy and … yes, I go way back.
